For the past
6 months, I have had the sincere pleasure of working with 4results on the
design, development, delivery, and evaluation of a change management project for
our organization. Our division had
been through 9 months of uncertainty and a subsequent announcement of an
acquisition by State Street Corporation. In
this time, challenges began to surface, such as retaining key employees,
maintaining productivity levels, sustaining focus on the customer, and
decreasing morale.

The project
we implemented quickly engaged our management team in an interactive workshop
focused on understanding and actively addressing the concerns of our employees.
The desired outcome was to generate solutions to the challenges we were
facing and provide key learning points on leading change and transitions and
managing the associated stresses of the acquisition process.
In less than 5 days we involved over 100 people in generating solutions
for this transition as well as provided key skills in how to lead change and
support our employees in successfully moving through the acquisition.
The result
of this work was clear. We were
able to refocus our people on the work to be done and provided our management
with the key skills to maintain and in some cases improve our levels of
productivity and service. This was
significant, especially in the challenging times we were facing. We were able to restore morale and kept key employees in
place, ensuring a much more successful transition.
